yes, the greenbean shop is up and running! and guess what sort of NEW goodies are available?! WINDOW DECALS! something new, something fun, and something greenbean... there are several decal designs in the shop right now including the girl who loves bugs and several designs of couples in love... there is even a decal of a beautiful lady putting makeup on... these are new products in the shop so they are in stock for a limited time only...
there is also plenty of magnets, embellishments, and illustrations... and did i mention those GIANT embellishments?! probably but it must be said again! there are a slew of embellishments ranging in size and price that would be perfect to add on a card, to put in a frame, or to include in a scrapbook... i even threw in a few that i didn't want to sell but figured someone else could use it and love it...
i got a few more ideas up my sleeve including some shrinky dink earring love, a few easter eggs that may or may not get into the shop in time, and with a few non-holiday ornaments... but this week, i'll be working on isabella's birthday goodies- spidergirl related! it's gonna be SPECTACULAR [oh, who gets this joke?!]

since the last time, i've been sick, made two illustrations, went to a tea party, designed 3 rubber stamps, described all etsy goodies, ran out of coffee creamer, and cared for diego while he stayed home from school.... although being sick took over 10 days of that time, i tried to spend my relaxing time, chipping away at my artwork so that this greenbean didn't feel lazy... it feels good to be productive... but i'm trying to take it one day at a time to not overwhelm myself, ya know?!
so the etsy goodies will be available soon however there isn't a specific date just yet... thanks to two buddies, they have helped me to relaunch the shop filling it with inventory that has been sitting around the studio.... there will be giant embellishements in the shop- what are giant embellishments you ask? they are the cut paper dolls cut out but NOT glued down onto a background... i'm leaving it for the buyer to add the background :) there will also be magnets, illustrations, smaller embellishments, notecards, and a few wall hangings... there's roughly 60 items!!!!
as with previous etsy shop openings, most of the characters are named after people i know... some names are taken from the shows that i've been watching- dean, mr. brown, hilda, pierce.... can you figure out which shows i've been enjoying?! and many of the characters that are named after friends, the descriptions are ficticious... it was a wonderful twist to making etsy descriptions a bit less monotonous....

lastly, here is a picture of isabella, the princess... she is an utter girly girl! the other day she told ramel that she wanted to be a superhero... spidergirl, in fact... so you can imagine the goodness i'm cooking up for her 4th birthday!!! but aside from her superhero love, she ADORES wearing a frou frou dress! i saw this dress at target MONTHS ago and wanted to get it for her... but i waited... then last weekend, she BEGGED for it!!!! we even got her some gold sparkly shoes to match and she was so happy... she's a vocal girl- she's quick to say what she doesn't like but she's also quick to say how much she loves me- she melts my heart! she's asked to change her name to ellia so she can be just like me- EEK!!!
so just a quick recap of the greenbean family: diego wants to change his name to peter parker when he gets older... and he wants me to change my name to aunt mae....and he wants me to live with him so i can keep the house clean... isabella wants to change her name to ellia... she wants to be JUST like me including height and shoe size... i got quite the pair of kids, eh?!

[yes it is]... the 25th of june is approaching quite fast... are you ready? because i'm not... not just yet.... hahaha :)... there are still SO MANY goodies i'm itching to add to the shop for that day... there are already notecards and illustrations prepared.... magnets, handcut tags, and paper puppets are still on the to-do list... with 8 days left will there be time to squeeze in some art between the allergies, sore back, no school, sunny days, and libraries to visit?! i hope so!!!!
on top of that, it looks like there will be a few new greenbeanbaby rubber stamp designs releasing at stamping bella... ON THE 25TH!!!!!! i'm really happy about that...there is a friend coming over tonight, and i'll be sketching away while we watch something on the big tv... it will feel good to have company and work on designs... most of my other multi-tasking moments are less glamourous... doing dishes while the kids eat... vacuumming as they watch tv... cleaning the shower as the conditioner soaks into my hair... emailing while downloading images from the camera... falling asleep and thinking about what else i have to do... AH, it's no wonder i'm tired at times!! HAHA!!!!
but back to the big day.... ramel is working on his illustrations too... he hasn't shown any sneak peeks online although i told him we were all looking for them.... but he IS working and from what i've seen, they are WONDERFUL!! i'm sure you all will enjoy the hard work put into both shops... everything will be priced fairly, so i hope you will find something to your liking...

yes, you read that right- the greenbeans, pluralized.... my husband has finally set up his shop on etsy.... we both decided to do an etsy grand opening/restocking day on june 25th at 2pm [central timezone]... i'm SO EXCITED as it's about time he gets his artwork online and FOR SALE!!! granted, he works full-time during the day... and most nights, he cares for the kids as i work on my illustration... but as the kids are getting older and the workload seems to be more balanced, he has a chance to dive into his artwork with a bit more gusto... you can stop by his blog for proof of his amazing talent...
as usual, i'll be posting sneak peeks on my flickr and facebook fan page... while there are still goodies in my shop, there will be MORE on june 25th... and finally, there will be NOTECARD SETS!!!! elephants, ladies, and a few other notecards in various colors are to swoon for... i've been working on them all weekend and am happy to offer something new and unique for the shop.... i might have a chance to toss in more magnets too...
there will be a few original illustrations as well... my graduated boy, the grandfather fishing, and the father/daughter illustration will be available for purchase... sadly, most graduations are this week, and father's day is before the etsy day.... so if you are interested in them, email me...
lastly, this is diego's last week of school... he will finish k5 knowing how to spell, read, and do math! he's hit a growth spurt too and seems to be stretching out quite a bit... he's my handsome and intelligent diego! isabella will be quite pleased to have her big brother home all day for the summer... with bubbles, parks, zoos, ice cream, and walks to target, we are bound to have a wonderful summer...

i've tried to blog several times over the course of two weeks... and the mood dissipates or i find myself absorbed with some other task... i've promised photos and a walk down memory lane with isabella but that is to be delayed.... speaking of, she's currently jumping up and down on our bed turning daddy into a "monster" with her wand... and when he gets too close, she flicks her wand and he's back to daddy.... diego is laying on that very bed, a wee bit sick... and i am in my studio, the one without a door... i can hear every scream, every laughter, as well as the sound of rain hitting on our windows... it's blissful!
as i've suffered with allergies during the past few days, it's been difficult working on art as fast as most other days... oh, i've completed much and i'm ready to get my etsy shop filled... but i'm working a little slower... ah, but back to the real reason i've come to blog.... yes, i'm updating my etsy shop so goodies will be available MAY 17TH, 2010 at 2pm central standard time...
magnets, notebooks, and wall hangings are on top of the list but if time allows, there might be some extras... most of the work you might have seen online somewhere, whether through my fickr, my website, or facebook fan page... but several of the illustrations will be turned into products so you won't be disappointed...
also, if you are in need of holiday images, there are 25 greenbeanbaby designs available through imagezoo... royalty-free, and some that can be used for multiple occasions... while the high resolution files cost over $300, you will find that there are low resolution files available at an affordable price... they'd work fine for invitations or for a smaller application... please check them out- it took a year to get them all together and ready!!

hello all.... as you can guess, life has been utterly busy.... as i type, i'm getting ready to pull an all nighter to work on more designs for stamping bella, finish some illos, re-watch LOST season 3, and get my recipes ready for turkey day...
BUT in honor of my 4th blog anniversary [can you believe it?!], i am going to have a huge sale in my etsy shop on THURSDAY NOVEMBER 26, 2009... for TWO hours, every single thing will be on sale for $2.50!! yes, this is on thanksgiving day but between turkey and sweet potato pie, you might find time to buy some cute greenbeanbaby goodies!
