for the elves: a christmas vintage swap
at last, the long awaited sweetpea swap is finally here! and just in time for the upcoming holiday: christmas... yes, we skipped halloween and thanksgiving and decided to plunge into the biggest holiday around... the one where we fiend for gingerbread cookies and decide whether we should get a real tree or a fake one this year... tis the season for giving, and of course, swapping is the best way to share the love to another vintage lover....
because the last vintage swap went down so well, this swap will be a sort of repeat... only of course, we include christmas related items... greeting cards, aprons, even recipes that our gramma gave us (and are that good, ya wanna share)... and who doesn't love those handmade goodies that so many of you make?! feel free to include that as well... there is such a variety of retro and vintage stuff, that be it books, magazines, toys, figurines, or fabric, your buddy will surely enjoy it! and you need only to spend $15- $20 max, since thrifting is the best place to find items with fewer dollars... and if you dig in your own stock, that saves loot too!
because many of us love fabrics and crafty items, which can be included, i thought it best to give your swap buddy time to use it before the holiday ends... and we are making sure that this won't affect our holiday shopping for family and friends, as the december month gets awfully busy.... this is why the shipping deadline will be before thanksgiving... shipping date are from november 13th to november 17th... this gives you 5 whole weeks to shop, create, rummage, thrift, and enjoy this swap and your buddy....
so, what is the sweetpea swap? this is a spot to exchange goodness and love around our lil earth... its a chance to obtain stock or give away part of your surplus.... not to mention, it's a wonderful excuse to shop, thrift, or craft! all things vintage and new can be loved and appreciated here...
it's simple and free to join (aside from gift and shipping costs)... you need only to be a blogger or flickr addict... fill out the questions below and email me...you will be partnered with someone swell and given their info... and they too will receive your info (not anyone else)... there is no doubt you will be a loyal buddy who'll ship out in the allotted time frame... after all, no one wants to have an empty mailbox! for those of you who are not from the states, i will be sure to partner you with someone who is willing to send boxes beyond the border... also, i will be taking members up to the week before shipping so that there is room for all!

I do have several great sources for newborn/children goods that I plan to feature soon. I tend to forget about that stuff since I don't have kids myself, but I promise I will feature more! :)
