gifty love

almost a month ago i joined paper princess gifty swap..... i was partnered up with miss jessica and oh my gosh, i got my gifts today!!!! beautiful, wouldn't you say?! so many goodies found in one shipment such as lil reese's peanut butter hearts, paper money, a 1960's bulldog notebook, kitty cards, magnets, a slinky, some cute tissues, lil toys... even tea, which as soon as i am done blogging, i am heading up to my studio to sip some... i was also given some yummy smellin' rosemary mint soap, which is now missing a tiny corner thanks to hungry diego... (he won't eat his mashed cauliflower or mashed potatoes, but he will eat soap!) and another notepad, much needed! with all the organizing of bills and my to-do lists, magnetic notepads are a vital necessity... the two books are wonderful too, i might add! goosey goose reminds me of the toddlers from my side of the family... a mix of us all in that "don't mess with me" moment and our curly hair just taking away all seriousness in the situation... each lil goody was purely perfect and i was like a lil kid as i opened each gift while munching on the reese's hearts...

and yes, jessica gave me PAPER!!! and plenty of beautiful GREEN paper!!! wow, i am just in awe! i can't figure if i should spend my time organizing my papers once again (as i do like to do this and sorta gaze at each one as i categorize it according to color or pattern, depending on mood) or if i should work on my necessary art... or maybe i should rearrange my studio all together?! anyhow, there is flowery paper, striped, wordy, illustrated, polka dotted paper... i am one happy mama!

so this is what i sent miss jessica... i made pink handmade note cards for her so she can use for thank you's or what-nots... and since she loves polka dots, i bought some ribbon too... i found this cute pair of teacups which had beautifully hand painted birds on it... lastly, i sent 10 lil records (45's, right?!) in pairs of two... doris day, nancy sinatra, the itsy bitsy teeny weenie yellow polka dot bikini song (for her polka dotted goodness) and a couple more oldies.... i made the jackets myself out of good ol' canson paper that was glued together with pretty bias tape... and again, there is my felty flower, thanks to my sizzix that i had to apply to everything papery in her package... each jacket says something lovey dovey, as valentine's was the theme of the swap.... again, this is my very first swap so i didn't know if i went overboard, or under board... too much or too little... she said she liked it so i refuse to stress... but the whole event has made me excited for more swapping...

yay! i'm so glad you liked it all...i remember reading somewhere that you liked green so luckily, i had some green to spare! thanks again for all my lovely goodies. i've got pics up on flickr but will be adding some to my journal also...;)
